In the film and comic strip story Batman, the super hero was summoned for help by a huge light signal, projecting the famous bat symbol onto the Skye's of the endangered city of Gotham.

In this work, the bat is replaced by the word Mum, suggesting an alternative savior, a collective mother figure offering a different kind of hope.
